XBox Live Fertile Ground for Molestation

Things don’t look so bright and sunny down in California. A man who began a strange and inappropriate relationship with a 14 year old boy over XBox Live! has landed himself in a fair bit of hot water. Twenty-six year old Ronnie Brendan Watts contacted the young gamer for online battles and headset chats that soon escalated into web cam activities that I don’t care to mention and obscene videos of Watts that were sent to the boy’s email. The two hooked up for a real life meeting in a Santa Rosa park where Watts allegedly sexually assaulted his younger companion.

Don’t stories like these give you the heebie jeebies?

This is so sad. As a parent I worry everyday about what could happen to my kids in the future.

I can’t stop them leading their own lives and going out on their own; but as the world only seems to be getting worse not better, I’m going to worry myself into an early grave!

Looks like the Xbox is not used appropriately. Bad uncle.

  3. Kamyar says:

How gross – and terrible as it is, it does not shock me. There are predators taking advantage of every means possible to have encounters with people.

I’ve heard a lot of bad things about the XBox Live (and good stuff), but this is just beyond me as to why someone thinks that they can do this and get away with it – let alone possibly scar another human in the process.
