Xbox World Cup Party in London

Microsoft is kicking off the first game of the World Cup this upcoming Saturday with a big par-tay, featuring the UK’s largest projection screen at the Truman Brewery in east London. Other goodies featured at this grand-spanking good-time event: top of the line sound system, and cheerleaders.

An Xbox spokesman said: “Forget about Germany, it’s all about the East End of London and Captain Beckham’s birth place. Over 1,500 fans will fill the Truman Brewery to cheer the boys on against Paraguay.”

Xbox will have similar screenings for all England and Australia World Cup games.

The company has also launched a special World Cup site at xbox.com/football which will include news from Germany and features on Xbox 5’s – the UK’s largest 5-a-side tournament.

What more could you want? You’ve got soccer football fooccer, booze, big screens, great sound, and cheerleaders.

Someone send me a postcard.
