Xii Games – Fun Developer Stuff

Xii Games recently put up another Developer’s Diary post that will make you oooooh and aaaahhhhh… if you like game design, that is. And I do. I especially dig that stuff they talk about in this Developer’s Diary, which is the way that sprites are made. No, not that delicious lemon/lime drink that makes your stomach feel better when it’s a little sour. No, I’m talking about those walking, talking and moving sprites that you see in video games. Like Mario. He’s a sprite. I mean, he’s not THAT cool of a sprite, but he is a sprite nonetheless.

We will also see the evolution of the game which Xii Games is currently working on called Resonance and the type of changes that were made to one of their main characters, Anna, as far as the look of her sprite went. It’s pretty cool to see what they start out with and how it’s completely different from the end product. Ahhh, I love stuff like this. I’m such a nerd.
