Yahoo Does Music, Yes it Does

I was pleasently surprised today, as I surfed through my RSS reader, to find an entry announcing a big music splash for Yahoo from Jeremy Zawodny. You see, in addition to the Yahoo Music engine that many people use and enjoy today, Yahoo makes a splash today with the announcement of its acquisition of Webjay.

I haven’t ever heard of Webjay, to be honest, but if their impressive suite of tools for creating playable music playlists is any indication, we’ve struck a motherload. I’m sure we’ll be hearing (and learning) more about Webjay and the dynamic potential here but +1 to Yahoo for another stellar portfolio item.
