Yahoo Makes Football Available Overseas

When living in Israel I remember having to follow-up on NFL scores over the Internet, newspaper, phone or any way I could. TV broadcasts were saved only for Superbowl and some specific playoff games, all the rest were reviewed in an approx 15 seconds each. Those days are over and this season, for the second year in a row, Yahoo will be broadcasting all regular season games in an “overseas exclusive” format.

The games will be offered for $24.99 a week or $249.99 for the season include only regular season games, but will be the only way for people outside the U.S., Mexico, Canada region to be able to watch any football this season.

With the high adoption of media centers watching the NFL via Yahoo is no longer reserved for computer screens only but should increase the amount of Yahoo’s subscribers every year. This is a no-loss opportunity for Yahoo who can only benefit from it.
