Yahoo Tests Outside Links form Homepage

All the major portals (i.e. Yahoo, AOL, etc) tends to not link to outside sources directly from their homepage, but only to deeper pages within their own portal. However, a new test implemented by Yahoo is trying to change that.

The main idea is to try and add value by providing truly relevant links rather than limiting itself to it’s own limited network and in turn, gain more authority and bottom line increase popularity.

While still being tested, Yahoo says that it will analyze both test-results as well as users’ feedback before making it a permanent feature or toasting the entire thing.
