Yamaha Audiogram 6 Computer Recording System . Last week I wrote a short post about the Lexicon Alpha Desktop Recording Studio. I had been using the unit for a couple of days and found that it wasn’t quite what I wanted or needed. I needed something with a little more features. Over the weekend I upgraded to a Yamaha Audiogram 6 Computer Recording System. This unit is a bit more practical for what I would like to do as far as home recording.

Yamaha Audiogram 6
The Audiogram 6 has a lot more features. Here are some of the features of the Audiogram 6.
- 2 independent stereo inputs (L/R) with combo Neutrik XLR connectors
- Stereo/Mono button to switch between stereo or mono recording
- 48v phantom power for condenser microphones
- Compression control on both stereo outputs with gain and level control
- 2- ¼” line in stereo (or mono) inputs
- 1- Stereo output
- 1- ¼” headphone jack for direct monitoring
- USB Powered
- Comes with Cubase AI with 48 track recording
- Dimensions are 6-5/8″ x 2-3/8″ x 7-5/8 and weighs less than 2 pounds.
While the Lexicon Alpha only runs about $79.99, the Yamaha Audiogram 6 is a bit more expensive at $149.99, but worth the price for the features and ease of use. If you’re looking to get started recording music from your home and don;t feel like spending a lot of money yet, then check out the Yamaha Audiogram 6.
