Ye Gods Errands Take Time and Energy!

goat danceBecause I do my writing from home, I usually plan my errands and appointments to act as breaks from my writing. Today, time really got away from me.

My real estate agent called about 9:30 and asked me to meet her at an interesting property; I agreed, and it is interesting. I had an appointment at 11 with a mortgage broker; she was running late, but the information I got was more than worth the wait.

Since I was out of the house anyway, I decided to:

  • get gas
  • pick up coffee beans
  • do a grocery shopping
  • stop at the drug store
  • stop at the water store

It’s a short list when I look at it like this, but I was gone from 9:45 a.m. until 2:50. And I’m whipped… at least enough to know I need to sit quietly with a cup of coffee before I take on much more.

How do people with regular jobs every get it all done?

Write well and often,
