Here’s the ad, I didn’t paste the whole resume because it wasn’t relevant. Besides, if you’re someone who is in a position to hire, you probably wouldn’t make it past the first paragraph.
Is anyone really hiring???????????????? (oakland downtown)

re: the hair thing. First off, yep, this woman sounds like a crrrrazy and I would stay far away, but IF it did have something to do with her hair…. dreadlocks are just as clean as anyone else’s hair. There is just more of it. Should someone NOT be hired because there is a popular misconception about dreadlocks? (streetkid dreadlocks are a hell of a lot different than professionally maintained dreadlocks)
Of course, if she’s not washing her hair and she is one of those smelly dreadlocked folk, that is gross. But not washing your hair no matter what the style is gross.
I’d guess that she’s a delusional idiot who’s trying to get a job in an industry that actually has appearance standards.
This person is obviously placing blame on the world for her inability to make an impression on people while interviewing for a job. The post says to me that she needs a trip to the salon and a lesson in team work. Yes, we may not know her but do we even want to? By the tone of her post alone I would say NOT.
Its a very sad post because the woman makes a mistake that anyone with any common sense would not do….pour out her frustrations in a job ad. a person who is 53 years old should know better, frustrated or not. Frustrations about racism and the changing work climate should be in a well protected forum closed to the public internet.
