Yet Another Richard Garriott Interview
Richard Garriott has to be the most eclectic (read: weird) person ever to create video games. Why, do you ask? Well, just take a look at this picture above. Yes, I know it’s small, but I’m sure you can see what he’s wearing. I’m not sure if he’s trying to go for a new look, if he’s on some sort of illegal drug or if maybe he’s dressing up as one of the soliders in his new game Tabula Rasa. One thing is for sure though: if he wasn’t already married, he’d probably never get laid.
With that said, GameTrailers Website post an interview they did with him at E3. He goes into a little bit of detail behind the story of Tabula Rasa.
He also does talk about why he’s wearing the lovely uniform he has decided to put on for E3. It is because he couldn’t very well go to a convention dressed as Lord British for a game that has nothing to do with being medieval. So, him and his crew came up with General British. Yes. Again. Eclectic.

So, with that video, we have some good news. Open beta should become available in a matter of months, so if you’re a person who thinks this time of game would be different AND awesome in the world of MMOs, then ye shall play fer free. If you can get into it. And only for a month. Still, better than nothin’.
