You Gotta Take Action Or Else

The 5th and final step to becoming a young entrepreneur is to take what you’ve learned, get out there and start taking action. It’s very easy for young entrepreneurs to get distracted. I mean c’mon think about it. Wouldn’t you rather be playing the Wii Tennis, hang out at Starbucks, and go watch movies vs get out there and build your business? I mean I know I’d rather just “hang out.”
That’s the problem with a lot of 20-somethings is that they just wanna “hang out.” I use to have a serious case of HOS, you know the Hanging Out Syndrome. I was there. I was starting out in entrepreneurship and just wanted to hang out with friends. A lot of the time for young entrepreneurs, our friends are usually busy with work , school, boyfriend/girlfriend so it can be very temping to just throw in the towe l and say “forget it.”
I’m here to tell you that you have just gotta take a little action, start seeing some little results. The previous articles that I wrote all tie into taking action. Lets take a look:
1. Figure out your WHY?
- You need to know WHY you’re doing what you doing so that when you feel like a case of the HOS is coming on, you can remember why you decided to become a young entrepreneur.
2. Find a Mentor
- A mentor will help keep you accountable to taking action. They will guide you and push you in the right direction even though you don’t feel like it sometimes.
3. Network & Connect
- You gotta make friends and get to know the right people. The one’s that don’t just wanna hang out. The one’s that will help motivate you in accomplishing your goals.
4. Make a Plan
- You gotta know where you’re going in life. It doesn’t matter where you’re at but where you’re GOING! If you know where you’re going and are passionate about it – taking action become a lot simpler (notice I didn’t say easy).
Being a successful entrepreneur is a process. If you follow the steps, you can assure yourself that you’ll at least be further than where you were before. I must warn you, this is the hardest part about becoming an entrepreneur.
If you’re willing to sacrifice a few games, a few tv shows, a few movies, and build some good habits, taking action will become second nature to you and you will get a lot more done and accomplish your goals.
Are you up for it? What happens if YOU don’t take action? What is the cost for not taking action?
What if you DO take action? Now that is a scary thing. Don’t be afraid to become a successful young entrepreneur. It’s okay, your parents will be proud of you, Boss Hatch will be proud of you, and YOU will be proud of yourself taking the steps that can literally change your life forever!
Now go…get out of here, stop surfing the web and go take those little action steps towards where you want to go!

I think another thing any budding entrepreneur should do is
bill and receive payments from clients promptly and do no free thing
