YouTube Adds Demographics

YouTube Demographics

Now this is interesting. Most viewers of the Alodia Caramel Dance are males aged 35-45. Given that the clip features a nineteen-year-old girl doing a silly memedance, you have to wonder about that statistic.

In a way, it makes sense. The girl in the clip is a popular Filipina gamer, and the average gamer is male and 35.

That’s the kind of pondering you can do as YouTube adds demographic data to its Insight video analytics package. If you have YouTube videos, go to My Videos>Insight>Demographics and see for yourself.

How does this work?… “My Videos>Insight>Demographics”

  2. Mike Abundo says:

Go to My Videos. Each of your videos should have three buttons to the far right: Edit Video Info, Make Profile Icon, and Insight. Click on Insight.

When the next page finishes loading, you should see four tabs across the middle of the screen: Views, Popularity, Discovery and Demographics. Click on Demographics.
