YouTube, HDNet Meet with Congress

May 11, 2007 by Mike Abundo

When techies meet with legislators, it’s always more about educating legislators than resolving legislation. That’s what YouTube’s Chad Hurley and HDNet’s Mark Cuban ended up doing at Congress Thursday, with Chad stressing that YouTube helps CBS and Mark stressing the need for net neutrality.

Mark, sourgraper that he is, accused YouTube of “hiding” behind the DMCA. Gee, I didn’t know actually abiding by the law was a bad thing, Mark. Loser.
