YouTube + Video Games = Kongregate.com

What do you get when you cross YouTube with gaming? Founders of a new website are hoping that formula equals Kongregate.com, a portal site that allows users to upload casual games for others to play and enjoy.

Gamers are also able to chat, much like in other casual game settings, and rate the games. Registration earns visitors the right to earn points, level up, participate in challengers and jabber to your heart’s content. Game makers earn a cut of the site’s ad revenue, so you can feel that you’re supporting up-and-coming talent in the industry.

Try Warbears if you want to have to use your noggin’. Help four secret agents bears thwart a bank robbery with point and click puzzler animation. It can be a little exasperating if you mess up the level and have to start all over, but you tend to get the hang of how things might go the more times you attempt it. Or, for some arty Mario-like fun, try Fancy Pants Man, and battle spiders, mice, and other critters through three levels of play. Other than that, there are 500+ games available, so browse around and see if you can’t find something to your liking.
