Cellphone9

An excuse to give when you can’t hear the other person screaming at you on the other line

I’m no engineer. But an engineer friend did explain to me something about mobile phones and voices. Sometimes, when we talk on the mobile, the other party may miss out on certain things we say, such as words mentioned in moments of an excited state (screeching and screaming). This is because most cellphones have a certain maximum capacity of about 8,000khz (she’s developing a technology that allows phones to do 16,000khz). The average high pitched cute female voice is about 5,000khz which brings her screamingto more than 8,000khz.

I guess that, in simplest terms, explains why sometimes you don’t hear the other person when he or she is screaming at you. And it’s not just an excuse!
