i have problem to replace the existing micro sd card with a new one. the phone doesn't recognize the card, but i can use it to store files through PC. any idea wat's going on to the card? or maybe there are some folders which must be created first prior to inserting the card in order to be detected by the phone?

To emily: You also need to upload the .jad files.

I simply dont get it why do some users make such comments which are not true. In fact I've been using this phone for 8 months now.

- The UI isn't slow at all. It seems slow because of the animations like "Saving..." While that animation is going on, you can simply press the red button, come back to standby and operate the phone normally.

- Among all the brands of phone I've seen, this is only phone where you can immediately make a call after switching on the phone.

- Half-press of the shutter is easily noticed unless someone is wearing gloves of the medieval ages.

- Camera lag isn't much under adequate light.

- Camera sensitivity is way better than any SE under low light condition.

- The battery is superb. Many times I've talked for about 7 hours without completely draining the battery. Usually everyday I talk for about an hour, listen to MP3s for 3 hours, take around 20 pictures. This way the battery lasts over 2 days. I charge the phone 3 times a week.

- ISO control of the camera really allows some creative shots.

- 3D sound option is quite good.

- Playlist management is poor.

- No possibility of installing new color themes. There are only 3 given: Red, Blue & Green.

- USB connectivity is simply great, i.e. plug n play pen drive style.

- Loudspeaker quality is fabulous especially for a call, the voice of the side sounds very natural. In extremely crowded and noisy environment when it's not possible to hear the other side, you can turn on the loudspeaker, decrease the volume a bit and hold the phone with the backside (loudspeaker side) to your ear and carry on a conversation quite easily.

Overall, I'm satisfied with the phone, especially the camera quality and battery life.

The s88 is worth nothing and you better believe me. I bought one for my wife and 1 for myself. It looks nice and that's all. Stay away from it. Standby is less than 48h. A few calls or sms and the battery is empty. I am not talking about listening mp3 coz than you have to charge twice a day. It will not give you any speaker sign of low battery unless it switches of itself. When it does it is too late and you have to charge. It loses the date/time when this happens. Sending messages it shows you the number only, not the name... and I can go on for many more things. The software is 0, a big ZERO. It is a long list with complains. Never ever BenqS. Many people think the same as Benq-Siemens is no more.
