iPhone 3Gs hacks easy — people don’t care

In a recent article by WIRED, it was demonstrated that hacking an iPhone 3Gs is just as easy as doing it with any predecessor that did not have any form of encryption. Despite the added security level initiated by Apple for enterprise use, the 3Gs is as vulnerable as an open safe. But the crux of the matter is that people don’t seem to care.

This makes me wonder much about the level of enthusiasm people have over security over their gadgets. My informal survey says that people are more concerned with physical safety measures rather than the ones found in software. Don’t leave your laptop in the car. Tap your pocket to make sure your phone is still with you. You know, those kinds of things.
Well, you be the judge. Come to think of it, I’m the guy who doesn’t install an anti-virus on my Windows desktop.
