The Palm Pre runs on webOS and Palm has announced the availability of the Mojo SDK allowing developers to write their window-based apps with an iPhone twist pretty soon. Here are some of the features of the SDK:
* Build applications with gesture-based navigation, transitions, and scrolling
* Use the webOS notification system to alert users without interrupting them
* Leverage the local storage capabilities of HTML5 so that data is available even when users are offline
* Use a JSON-based message bus to tap into a wide range of device services, including contacts, calendars, and location

What’s even cooler is that if you’ve been building legacy apps for the Palm OS back in the day, the new SDK allows you to export the PDB files from your old apps into the new webOS making migration much faster!
