my take on cellphone9

From the post history, it has been about a month since Cellphone9 has been soft launched. Call this the honeymoon stage for my blogging stint here. I realized it’s about time I introduced myself to everyone formally, so that you get to know a bit about the (handsome and eccentric) Asian guy behind his blog.

I’ve always taken a keen interest in mobile devices, and have attributed this start with mobile phones. You see, I come from a country that’s known to be the SMS capital of the world with billions of pesos in revenue from SMS alone per day from our three telcos. Having a passion for gadgets and a love for writing helped me land a stint with a bunch of friends to start what is now the largest magazine for mobile technology, m|ph: mobile philippines. We also have a blog running with daily updates.
Somehow I found my way towards Jeremy and Duncan, sharing the same philosophy to create engaging products (in this case, Cellphone9) fueled by people, culture and dynamism more than the products themselves. In my next few posts, I’ll be revealing a little bit more about the evidence of geekdom in my pockets to add that personal touch which makes blogging most attractive.
It would really be great to see Cellphone9 linked to the rest of the world. My dream in the next few weeks would be to do a Google search and see the linkages increase. I hope my dear readers can spread the good word. Cheers!
