Sexy text messages send you to jail

Send one text message and it’s five days in prison. Send two and you got ten days. There seems to be an exchange rate now for sexy text messages and jail time. Well that’s what is happening in China. Sending sexy text messages or those bordering on the obscene or erotic will send you straight to the slammer.
Thus, party bosses in Liaoning in China’s northeast have passed a law making those sending text messages containing such content liable to a criminal charge of sexual harrasment. Those found guilty could face five years in jail.
…
A Communist Party press release on the subject reads, “Obscene information not only harms the people’s soul but harms the people’s morality as well. It is not acceptable and will be severely punished.” And I, for one, believe them and henceforth will cease and desist texting any more knob jokes to Shenze county. [source]

Think about it though. Everything nowadays can be considered a sexual innuendo — all you need to do is change the smiley to a wink and there you go: jail time! Eek.
