New year, new designs from Siemens. Unveiled a day after Christmas via the WWW news mill, the Siemens E71 looks like a promising piece of phone in the aesthetics. I’m not yet ready tto jump the gun and say that Siemens has improved by great measures. That’s because I’m still traumatized by the thought of the SX1 as well as the boomerang / propeller SK65 beanie phone. *shudder*
But hey, it’s a new year so let’s give Siemens a chance. There are a visible six function buttons on the top half of the phone exclusing the D-pad. Do notice the musical note to indicate that this phone puts some if not a lot of stress on music playing capabilities.
Will it come with a camera? It looks like there’s provision for one at the back of the unit. No indication as to how high the quality goes but we’re assuming more than 1.3 megapixels given that Siemens did achieve that waaay back in 2004.
Hopefully they will get it right this time around. The specs do look promising with a compact sliding mechanism and metal finish real estate to boot. Go Siemens!
