Skullcandy Hesh Headphones Review

Perhaps the best thing about Skullcandy’s packaging is that the blisterpack wrap can easily be removed by yanking open both sides. Unlike other types of blister packaging which require vigorous feats with your hands and maybe a cutter or scissors, this one was easily opened within 20 seconds. For that alone, I give it two thumbs up!

But seriously, Skullcandy headphones deliver the promise of being all candy around your head. I’ve heard reviews saying that in general, the headphones have very good bass and mid levels, and so-so in the highs. I found this to be true after donning the Hesh, one of the DJ-level designs. It fits anything with a 3.5mm jack so I stuck it into the iPod touch. The Hesh comes with a carrying case and an extension line as the main jack doesn’t extend for very far. Overall, the Hesh is really just candy. It delivers pretty balanced sound but if you’re more discerning with your listening experience, this isn’t the headpiece for you.

They look pretty, and the sealed cans are probably great for DJs but your thoughts reflect what I’ve been reading, not that great for folks who want to hear more than the boom/thump aspects of their music
