So RIM may be putting some companies out of business by releasing a native Blackberry desktop application, but oh well, this is really great news! The new application is coming out on October 2 (today!) and you’ll need to register to get more information about the new desktop conduit. Just like any other sync application, the BB desktop syncs your iTunes, calendar, address book, software and games.

This is great. After such a long wait, Blackberry is finally opening up to the rest of the consumer world. It’s time get out of those corporate clothes and go casual!

If you’re one of the few kids who own a brand spankin’ new Nokia 5800 AND happen to own a Macintosh, you will probably notice that the Nokia iSync support site still doesn’t have a device driver for this phone. No worries, one will come soon. It always does. But in the meantime, you can check out tnkgrl’s self-developed iSync plugin which works just as fine!
Here’s a screenshot from my iSync profile. As you can see from the bottom, it recognizes the device!
