Wikipedia is now available on the iTunes store, and of course it is free. I’ve always been a fan of standalone applications for the iPhone in the same way that I’d rather run Facebook and in this new case — Wikipedia, a fully functioning app rather than off the Safari browser.
I would observe that there’s a lot to gain on the usability end and browsing using the haptic touch feedback is more efficient if sites were turned into apps.
Wikipedia is now available on the iTunes store, and of course it is free. There’s something going on here — i noticed that browsing on my iPod touch brings me to the same sites over and over, so it really makes sense to just have a couple of dedicated apps that run your daily routine. Yes?

If you own an iPhone 3G or 3GS and have been contemplating buying satellite navigation for your dashboard, you may want to check out TomTom’s SatNav app for the iPhone. Though it costs a hefty USD80 to 130 depending on where you’re from, it is still tons cheaper than buying your own satellite navigation hardware for your dashboard.

The plethora of navigation options won’t disappoint allowing 2D or 3D mapping, map browsing, search, point plotting, and more.
Funny addition in the end — the video author has an interesting makeshift dashboard dock made out of sticky tape.

Who doesn’t like How I Met Your Mother? People have been asking for the title of the song in the intro of the series so here you go — perfect to edit using RingTone Studio 2 and turn into a tone.

In any case, here is a link to Hey Beautiful by The Solids. The familiar theme from How I Met Your Mother starts at the last 30 seconds of the song but with the guitars as accompaniment.

Here’s a bit of early 2000 nostalgia. I’ve been re-reading Global Frequency, a series of graphic novels about ordinary human beings being called forth to do extraordinary things. There was a pilot movie adaptation from the comic books and one of the accessories that identified Global Frequency operatives was the mobile phone they carried – the pilot episode had a ring tone which became popular for some time.
So I downloaded it. You can find the Global Frequency MP3 ringtone download it.
