I spent a day fiddling with the Nokia 7370 fashion phone, one of the latter releases of Nokia for this year.
Form Factor
Does the 7370 spell F-A-S-H-I-O-N? We’ll see. Copying the swivel design from Sony Ericsson, the 7370 can swivel from either side to 180 degrees. You can’t make the phone do a full 360 though. The keypad is pretty sturdy and it was enough satisfaction that the phone didn’t feel cheap and rickety.

Features
Nokia could have done some work on the 1.3MP camera. The 7370 lacks the “amour” that I was expecting when it came to multimedia. In natural light the phone fares like most cameraphones – decent but nothing amazing. At low light the camera gives off a bluish hue that makes the pictures taken look monochrome.

On the plus side, videos can reach a maximum of 4:10 minutes. There is no room for expandable memory, sadly.

Bottomline
I’m a little torn. This phone has the bare necessities for the tech troubadour – Bluetooth, megapixel-class camera and a decent video recorder with sound. However, since this is a fashion phone, I’m well expecting the form factor to make up for most of the flaws. Wait, let’s not call them flaws since there really are none in that sense. Let’s just say they cater to a different market of emerging techies who are still afraid to take the geek plunge.
