Sure, their phones may have music but if you can afford an ipod, you’d probably buy one and use THAT for music. Besides, if your phone did everything, it would suck the life out of your battery.

Do you prefer to keep your music and phone separate? What would make you turn your phone into your primary music player?

The app makes its debut at USD$3.99, which IMHO is steep for something you can access on the Internet for free. Here’s to hoping that they do something about the price. Maybe this has something to do with the location-based-services of the iPhone. We’ll see.

Built into the application is a talent tree calculator, detailed loot from all the dungeons from the original WoW and two expansions, plus the ability to browse through all the other players of WoW in your region regardless of server. The app also includes an in-game calendar with a listing of global events such as the Stranglethorn Fishing Extravaganza and the Darkmoon Faerie carnival schedules.

This is a MUST HAVE app for WoW players. It is essentially a pocketable WoWpedia which you should have side by side when you play for reference (most useful when trying to find vendors of certain materials).

I’ve joined the Sims 3 bandwagon, grabbing my copy off the shelf today for my desktop. Two days prior to the Sims 3 launch though, Sims 3 for the iPhone was released for a whopping USD $9.99 which is about half the price of the bigger game for your computer. What’s hot about the iPhone version is that it’s pretty much the real game, but revolves mostly around the Sim you create rather than the entire neighborhood. Go give it a try from the iTunes store. You won’t be disappointed! It’s Sims on the go!

GruvMe is interesting although in its current beta state there isn’t much to see.
I personally don’t know how services like GruvMe can make money as opportunity cost wise, there may be more ad dollars spent on other things, but since this is still on limited beta, we’re excited to see what they have in store.

The survey notes how paid apps are used 30% more in the suceeding days than freebies. This actually is evident when we see how the top 25 free apps are rapidly changing while the top 25 paid apps stay on top longer.

According to the guys at Callpod, there is currently no technology for the iPhone that provides full security and encryption when you sync data to the PC or Macintosh. Thus the need for Keeper, an app so secure, it comes with military grade encryption that keeps your passwords and synced data too secure to handle.
Currently, Keeper sells for $0.99 at the iTunes store and is compatible with both iPod touch and iPhone. You can download the application here.
Oh and we weren’t kidding about the self-destruct mode.
