Space Invaders: Infinity Gene

OMG! Space Invaders has never looked this good. What starts out as a simple retro-style Space Invaders on the iPhone turns into a fast paced space shooter that requires quick reflexes and an ability to discern between the distorted line graphics and screen flashes.

The “Infinity Gene” aspect of the game adds to the overall replay value despite having only 38 stages. Infinity Gene is a cross between Space Invaders and Gradius, allowing you to pick up power ups that automatically fire — that means your touch controls are dedicated to steering the ship.

webOS allows iTunes sync

The Palm Pre is looking good in time for its June 6 launch. Unveiled, the Pre’s drive mode allows for the sncing of DRM free music to iTunes which means you CAN start using the Pre as an iPod. No word about syncing other items like Audiobooks, but we’re sure Apple won’t be allowing DRM enabled music from their iTunes store.

Repeat charges for iPhone 3 beta downloads

If you’re planning on getting the beta for iPhone 3.0, we suggest not taking the risk as there are reports of you having to re-purchase applications that were downloaded before, thus having to pay for them all over again. We’re sure Apple will refund you through the store when 3.0 comes out, but I persoanlly would rather not take the risk.

Giving away VoiceKeyboard for iPhone

I’m giving away one free code VoiceKeyboard for the iPhone. It’s one of those really cool applications that allow you to mix your voice and play it out like a synthesizer.

Almost every song you’ve heard broadcast, every feature film soundtrack and every night-club mix was created in part with a sampler. Composers, sound designers, DJs, record producers, studio musicians and live musicians use samplers in their everyday work. Now you can too!
Voicekeyboard has flexible memory allowing you to keep adding or removing different sounds in and out at any time, you are not stuck with the “stock” …read more

Upright for iPhone Checks Your Posture

Here’s an interesting iPhone app – Upright. If your mom has been at it over and over again with your bad posture, then she might have bought this app for you if the iPhone did exist at that time. The Upright app calibrates to check whether you’re current “posture” is a bad one:

Secure Upright in a shirt pocket, on a lanyard, on your neck, or however best works for you. Assume your optimum posture and then just tap to calibrate. Upright instantly begins tracking your posture. Tap again to pause or to re-calibrate. Upright will alert you when your posture …read more

Nine Year Old Writes iPhone apps for his siblings

When I was nine I was too busy with my GI Joe’s and Sky Commanders. But Lim Ding Wen, 9 from China spends his time writing applications to show his brotherly love for his siblings.
Lim, who is in fourth grade, writes applications for Apple’s popular iPhone. His latest, a painting program called Doodle Kids, has been downloaded over 4,000 times from Apple’s iTunes store in two weeks, the New Paper reported on Thursday.[source]
Like father, like son – his father also writes iPhone apps and has a “friendly competition” with his son to see who has the more downloaded apps for …read more
