“Land Rover” S1 toughest phone yet

Back in circa ‘98 I rememeber HP releasing its toughest PDA, the HP Journada which could survive a car running over it. Today, Land Rover (OMG they make phones??) shows off the new S1, the toughest phone ever made. It can be run over by a Land Rover, stepped on by an elephant, dunked in gunk and lager beer, microwaved and finally gave in when a forklift truck crushed it.

Sanyo S1 from Sprint: Back to simple

The Sanyo (Kyocera in other regions) S1 is frugal in specs. It doesn’t mean to compete with the world leaders in the mobile phone industry, and in its own right has a small – very small – piece of the pie. You can tell by the look of the product features page where “features” include such things as keypad lock – something that’s assumed to be in most mobile phones. Highlights of the Sanyo S1 include Bluetooth, Wireless Backup courtesy of Sprint, and a WAP 2.0 browser. Am I boring you yet? Oh sorry.
