Sony Ericsson has added another cameraphone to its bag of tricks and is showing it off for CeBIT 2006.
The Cybershot k800’s “special power” is that it helps noobs take good pictures by allowing them to choose between nine shots taken with one camera click.
Yes, the k800’s 3.2MP camera actually takes 9 shots when you press the shutter button. Four shots at half press – then the actual shot – and four more after pressing. So the eight images you get that sandwich the “real” image are pre and post flash pictures that vary in their lighting. Impressive. Innovative.

So Sony Ericsson has announced another Walkman phone, dubbed as the W300. Dubbed as the W800i lite, this music phone has let go of all the luxurious features of the W800. It has downgraded the memory expansion to a bundled 256MB memory stick micro (M2 expandable to 1GB), changed the camera to a 640×480 VGA cam and sadly let go of the in-ear earphones and replaced it with high quality Sony earphones.
Aww shucks. Well depending on the price of the phone itself, I’d still try to grab a pair of in-ears because thats what makes these walkman phones different. Pfft. …read more

There’s a lot you can do with 512MB (or 256MB depending on the model) worth of songs. So might as well share them to an FM radio. The MMR-60 allows SE phone owners to shoot their songs onto FM radio.
Stylish I might say.
Capable of transmitting on FM frequencies at ranges of up to 10 meters, users will be able to control the range of the accessory through menus made available in the handsets used with the Sony Ericsson MMR-60. Weighing in at a light 9 g and measuring 43 x 27 x 11 mm, the transmitter will recall its last …read more

It’s Valentine’s Day once more and if you’re reading this tonight, then I’m assuming you had bad luck scoring a date. My condolences to you then. If it’s any consolation, I’d like to take this opportunity in cyberspace to tell you that all men are asses, while all women are too picky. Heh.
Today is the day of hearts, but it is also the day of remembering past heartaches as well. These “what could have beens” will always become the permeable stuff which we will bever be able to shut off from our minds. Now being a geek, I’ve had …read more
Peter Kennedy and the iPhone?

Peter Kennedy, formerly of Sony Ericsson, may be doing a silent but deadly over at Apple with the release of a patent that may very well be the first iPhone. From a consumer point of view, the Zen of Apple can only be unified with the Tao of Sony Ericsson. Couple this with Palm’s hakuna-matata and you get the triumvirate of gadget nirvana. So with a Sony Ericsson guy working on some human interface designs for Apple – for phones, we may soon see something quite interesting this 2006.
Peter Kennedy leaves a very small footprint on the internet- probably …read more

What do you get when you cross a Treo with a K750i?
Well, nothing still. But the closest match comes in a surprising little package. The M600i was recently announced by Sony Ericsson as the new candybar replacement for the P-series smartphones.
The Bluetooth functionality of the M600i in turn ties in with its media capabilities, which include the playback of MP3 and AAC formats as well as video at 30 FPS. Another highlight of the device is its dual function thumbboard, which – much like that of Palm’s Treo 700w – contains a numerical keypad with in its QWERTY layout, and …read more
Sony Ericsson K800i

So the word has been spreading about the new Sony Ericsson K800i, codenamed ‘Wilma’ which brings you to places far from the prehistoric connotations.
Phoneyworld has written a short preview about it and I’m going to build on to give my take. The first notable thing with it K800i is its physical elegance taking most of what SE learned from the K750i and sprinkled it with a slightly more curves.
Essentially the K800i is a combination of the K750i’ elegance, the W800i’s expansion and the W550i’s additional features which the former never had, like stereo speakers. The main addition to …read more
