Difference between Active Notes and Notes

Have you ever thought these two applications were the same? In most Nokia phones today, Active Notes magically replaced the Notes app. Other people have confused the two — and in reality both apps still do exist. Active Notes is usually available in Eseries phones. Other phones, like the N86 doez not have this app and relies solely on Notes.

Active Notes allows you to add some multimedia functionality to your note taking. Active Notes is sorta like the HTML version of the regular notes application allowing you to port multimedia into your computer when you sync. There’s a great deal …read more

Do you record your runs on your mobile?

As the Nike+ iPod kit became a staple among running circles, it became apparent that a market was to be made out of accelerometer and a piece of software that could measure your giant strides.

I’ve tried a couple of dedicated hardware for running such as the Nike+ iPod kits and the solo running watch pictured above, but lately I’ve come across friends who have ditched the iPod solution and have gone running with their phones. Making of the Nokia N97

/p>
An insightful video production on the logic, blood, sweat and tears behind the making of flagship Nokia N97.

What I found most intriguing was the philosophy behind the design for the sliding screen. Nokia wants to spell out authenticity in defining their products and they showed this from the very act of defining what sound the phone should make when you slide out the screen to reveal the keyboard. Brilliant!
