Last week we ran a contest raffling off the T9 Nav software to two lucky winners. I’d like to give a big congratulations to two of our readers Gregson Rocafort and “pompo” for being the lucky winners of our draw.
To those who entered but didn’t win — I’ll be raffling off another set pretty soon so stay tuned!

Today I met with Ray Tsuchiyama, marketing director for Tegit Communications. This is the group behind the famous T9 predictive text input which you see in most S60, Windows Mobile, Motorola, and LG phones. In the latter part of the year, T9 will be launching a new application called T9 Nav. The simplest way to explain it — it’s like OS X Spotlight for your mobile phone. Here’s a video I borrowed off YouTube to explain how it works (my camera had problems focusing onto the screen):

Today I met with Ray Tsuchiyama, marketing director for Tegit Communications. This is the group behind the famous T9 predictive text input which you see in most S60, Windows Mobile, Motorola, and LG phones. In the latter part of the year, T9 will be launching a new application called T9 Nav. The simplest way to explain it — it’s like OS X Spotlight for your mobile phone. Here’s a video I borrowed off YouTube to explain how it works (my camera had problems focusing onto the screen):

It’s freakishly simple to use with no apps to launch (T9 Nav runs in the background). From your main idle screen, simply type out words by pressing the numerical or QWERTY keys and a listing of all possible apps, files, contacts, media, etc will appear in a list. It’s that simple to use.

RIght now the application is only available for S60 3rd edition 12 key phones (sorry, no QWERTY devices yet). Are you an early adopter? You can download T9 Nav now from the Nokia store.
