Sprint expands WiMax to 17 new cities

Sprint, together with Nextel will be expanding its WiMax service to 17 new cities by the end of 2009. The move to 4G mobilizing is apparently brought about by a loss in consumers for their other services to their consumers. And this is happening despite positive consumer support feedback.
Let’s see what’s happening here. Spirint aims to gain new customers by running a new service that requires the procurement of new WiMax compatible hardware. Samsung Mondi runs on WiMax

In between a PDA and a laptop, the Samsung Mondi provides the computing prowess of a laptop at the palm of your hand. Nothing we haven’t seen before, but what makes this device interesting is that it runs on a WiMax network ensuring seamless connectivity to the Internet within the WiMax blanket.
The Mondi runs on Windows Mobile 6.1 and has a full thumb board and touch screen. Other perks include GPS, 3.0 MP camera and recording capabilities. So far, no price has been set for this device. Full specs include:
