The Nokia 5130 is out with T-Mobile and though it doesn’t bring anything new to the table, it’s been a while since we’ve seen an affordable Series 40 device with a 2MP camera and XpressMusic capabilities. You see, the phone is out everywhere else.
This is a good addition to the line of music phones as it adds instant messaging and access to Ovi’s plethora of services. As an added treat, this phone comes with a resilient battery putting up its standby time to a maximum of 12 days on not-so-regular use.
Since it is an XpressMusic phone, it comes with …read more

Nokia is stepping up their music line with the X6. It seems that the XpressMusic line is getting a big brother upgrade under a new line called “X” which results in a bigger screen, better battery life, and enhanced tools for viewing other media apart from music. The X6 is also 14mm thin.
As a device, the X6 comes with 32GB of storage, it also comes with pretty much anything you’d see in a modern day Nokia phone such as AGPS, 5MP camera with Carl Zeiss optics, Ovi, 3.2 inch screen, TV-Out … honestly apart from the look, there doesn’t …read more

If you’re one of the few kids who own a brand spankin’ new Nokia 5800 AND happen to own a Macintosh, you will probably notice that the Nokia iSync support site still doesn’t have a device driver for this phone. No worries, one will come soon. It always does. But in the meantime, you can check out tnkgrl’s self-developed iSync plugin which works just as fine!
Here’s a screenshot from my iSync profile. As you can see from the bottom, it recognizes the device!

Of course, with the iPhone being the phone to beat, journalists can’t help but ask and compare this little beauty to the iPhone. You can’t blame them. It’s part of a story angle for human interest.
So all things come in context if you read this post first. Read it? …read more
