the note

I arrived home from work really exhausted. With so many deadlines and a lot of other things floating around my head, I lost the willpower to remove my iBook from the sleeve and prop it on the table for the usual evening ritual of surfing, blogging, checking personal mail and updating whatever needs to be updated.

Sometimes I leave notes inside my iBook, since my Crumpler messenger bag really has no space to put documents in. I didn’t remember putting anything in between before going home though.

What was this? A reminder of some sort? I can be really absent minded on certain days. Maybe it was because I didn’t drink a lot of milk when I was a kid. But what the heck, they say the worst pen and paper is better than the sharpest mind…

And then I smiled …

When you least expect it, it happens. “T” really made my evening. She told me the next morning how she Metal Geared her way into my desk while I was doing something on the Windows XP powered office desktop. She was about two meters away from me while removing my ‘book from the bag, opening it and slipping in the note and putting it back inside the case. Without making a noise.

This was the first time using Windows brightened my day. (Get it? Get it?) With all due respect to John. Hehe.

It’s already Sunday and I’m still giddy. There are many creative ways to send the tech love sparks flying. I’d appreciate heart warming stories of how you made your significant-other geek or geekette happy.

    hi jayvee! that’s so sweet!

My motorbike crazy hubby bought me my very own leather jacket and crash helmet so we could go ‘cruising’ together on his bike — does that count as a geeky gift? (i’m not a bike chick at all!)

not a tech gadget, but fun nonetheless!

i really like it how couples give gifts that encourage each other to appreciate his / her hobbies. :)
