Tim Yap opens the dance floor for the Nokia Red and Black party

This was the rather wild video of dancing girls and such other moderated frivolity that spun the night during the Nokia Red and Black party. The event was held in Manila, Philippines for the launch of the Nokia 5310 Xpress Music Phone. Check out Nikka Abes’ dress!

The donut inspired ETNA

etna.jpg

See the hole in the middle? If fulfills two purposes: storage and charging the unit via induction. This ETNA phone design, made by Maxie Pantel inspires mobile phone users to never misplace their phones again. Having a dedicated dock / storage is practical for easy findings and not to mention aesthetic value.

Proceed here for the design implementation of the “donut hole.”

Nokia 7500 Prism: WTF! It plays DVD Quality stuff!

nokia_7500_prism.jpg

Nokia has a new experimental phone that looks like a cross between a candy bar and a stealth fighter. The Prism is obviously a fashion experiment, as seen with the way they have branded it with the “7″ line. It runs on the S40 platform and carries with it a 2MP camera at the back. Yes folks, just one camera. No 3G support for this model. The fastest you get is EDGE. The Prism is a head turner, but looking deep inside its specs list, you will find a peculiar feature - DVD quality video support. Wow! I get to watch DVDs on my 240 x 320 pixel screen! Impressive feature, but still peculiar.
