Sony Ericsson Releases “Equinox”

Sony Ericsson released their “Equinox” model last week. The flip phone doesn’t look like the most high-tech gadget around but it’s a decent option for those who want something new and sleek without all the bells and whistles.
The Equinox features a 3.2 megapixel camera (with picture messaging), stereo Bluetooth and 3G network support and a built-in GPS sensor. It also lights up and pulsates when a call or message comes in which would be great for me since my ringer doesn’t currently work (I accidentally put my phone through the washing machine). I also read that you can silence …read more

If you’re in the mood for an up and coming multimedia slider from Sony Ericsson, the T715 may be something you can grab when it comes out. The phone itself comes with a 3.2MP camera with a geo-tagging feature, 90MB internal memory, audio, mobile blogging — well it’s pretty much the same features you’d find in a mid range phone from SE. But still, it is a beauty!

Sony Ericsson Naite comes with GreenHeart

The Sony Ericsson Naite comes with a Green Heart. This is essentially part of Sony Ericsson’s environment friendly line of phones that succumb to certain manufacturing processes such as the use of paint that yields low CO2 emissions.. The SE GreenHeart movement actually has a pretty comprehensive site.
OK now we move on to the phone. The Naite isn’t out yet — it’s coming in as a mid range phone with fast data caps at HSDPA 2100. A neat feature inside the Naite is access to on device Google Maps. Other than that, we have a phone that has a …read more
Sony Ericsson Satio: Xenon Flash Present

Although similar to the Nokia N82 from several months ago because of Xenon flash, the SE Satio is Sony Ericsson’s own version of a powerful night camera because of the aforementioned flash feature. This is the new line of Sony Ericsson phones, noted with the shift away from the numerical naming convention to proper nouns.
Sadly, the SE Satio does not come with built in WiFi. It makes up for this with the 12MP camera, face detection, image stabilizer, and of course, the really awesome Xenon flash that takes great photos at night.

Sony Ericsson W760 Hands On

Even though it lacks a flash, the W760’s camera is decent for the better part of the day. I’ve been using the Sony Ericsson W760 for the better part of three days and I’m trying to get over the fact that the phone doesn’t come with a flash – even an LED light for that matter. On the other hand, I’m also telling myself that this is a Walkman series phone and thus I *should* be glad that it even came with a decent camera for daylight shots.
What I can’t seem to get over with the latter releases of Sony …read more
Sony Ericsson and Eraserheads Promotion
October 27, 2008 by Jayvee Fernandez

If you’re from Asia, specifically the Philippines, this promotion would be almost unbelievable. The Eraserheads have been hailed as the best band in the Philippines in their time, the 1990’s, and they’ve been defunct for several years now. Recent events have them on the spotlight because of their reunion concert held a few weeks ago. I’m not too sure how effective it is to bundle music with mobile phones, but it does make sense when the band on the spotlight is HUGE, especially where Sony Ericsson is quite prominent. Nokia and Motorola have gone the music route sponsoring concerts and …read more

Hola! The Sony Ericsson G705 is yet another entry to the 2008 fourth quarter releases of clamshells. The SE G705 comes with a 3.2MP digital camera and HSDPA connectivity for wireless surfing. Huge buttons and a huge screen and the rectangular form factor are added bonuses for people with big hands. This is also one of the few phones of SE that come with built in WiFi, which is a deal breaker for most people.
Here is a complete list of compatible accessories for the G705. The phone is due out this coming 4th Quarter and should be popular in …read more
Sony Ericsson has a Green Heart

We’re talking about a phone, sirs. The new Sony Ericsson concept phone, the Green Heart doesn’t seem like a far fetched idea. I’d want to think that the Green Heart isn’t a specific model but a code name for some engineering plan that Sony Ericsson should implement over a wide spectrum of their production.
Some things that make a Sony Ericsson phone a Green Heart:
1. No charger wastage: smart charger shuts off when full charge
2. Made from more earth friendly materials
3. Save on paper by not including a manual (who reads the manual anyway?!) — the manual is on the …read more
Sony Ericsson TM506: Not quite out yet, still cool
September 16, 2008 by Jayvee Fernandez

More proof that Sony Ericsson is going the Nokia route. The new TM506 is by itself not a spectacular phone. It does deliver in terms of specs – 2MP camera, HSDPA, GPS, memory stick expansion with 35MB internal memory. These are the usual bells and whistles you’d find in a classic design. The phone isn’t out in the market yet, so what will make you fall in love with this clamshell is its form factor. Sony Ericsson has been pushing their updated real estate for a while, going for a more square look than rounded “egg” shape for their phones …read more
