TORQUE C100 compatible with Nokia BL-5C batteries

I’ve just been handed a China made TORQUE C100, their entry level phone that has both Bluetooth and a VGA camera. But the most peculiar feature of the C100 is that the battery it uses is exactly the same as th BL-5C batts from Nokia. Interesting.
The logic behind this is simple. In the entry level market, spare parts are always in demand, and knowing that the TORQUE C100’s battery is compatible with the BL-5C makes finding accessories easier. I don’t think there’s any exclusive use clause for the battery, none I’m aware of. [source]

They’re not ashamed to show it off, but of course there’s no branding in their marketing material. This is interesting. With Nokia dominating the market with their famous BL-5C’s, why not enable some form of compatibility? This is, I believe, forward thinking! Nokia’s happy because they sell more, and TORQUE gets consumer reassurance for quality.
The TORQUE C100 targets the fast moving entry level market.

Wow this phone is not bad. where can i purchase this?
torque hardly catches signal… i acnnot use it when im indoors.. i hate it..
TORQUE C100 mobile phone is not really bad at all, considering the price and features.
The only problem with it is the volume..you can hardly hear it when it rings, as well as the music player.
i had purchased a brand new torque c100 last year at 2,290..i agree it’s cheaper imagining the features that it has..but kinda confused because according to the sales attendant this phone is manufactured by alcatel..how true is this?
The lady attendant is wrong..it is a misleading statement to make you decide to buy it. check the new prods of Alcatel Mobile Phone. Torque is clearly an OEM unit from china and they put the torque in it.
Oh my gosh!!! torque is really bad, and i regret to bought that. fake specs.!!! i through it on the floor and its broke!. i want to kill the manufacturer!!!. Godbless you!.
can you give me the services center number or the customer services of the company.. i am interested to buy ONE but i want to be sure about the PRODUCT ….PLEase help me!!!
try ko hanapin yung hotline..if i were you think thrice
where did you get the picture w/ “OMG” in it? do you have a soft copy of it? i need to know the operating system of the phone.. i badly need it.. thnx..
hi there! do you know of any compatible games that i can download for torque c100? it accepts very limited file types. no .jar or .jad. its only game is called Puzzle (i do not know the extension name)…I also have Asus V66 cellphone and it got the same game too. I am not sure if there is a connection between the two cellphones but i think this information may help or whatever for someone who can find time to help me. im confused.please help!
is this a plug and play like other cellphone? can i have a installer with this phone.
hey.. can i ask something? where can i buy an torque headset here at philippines? near at manila and pampanga!
torque is a good cell phone though buying replacements parts is kind of hassle. i lost the headset/earphone and charger and it is hard to find these at the malls or stores.
check out torque products at memo express….it’s a cellphone and accessories store….i got my torque d90 from them…so far, i am happy with it…for as long as you are not so super techie, torque is quite okay…it is lightweight, it has bluetooth, got camera, expandable memory up to 2 gig…you can save music and videos…and for a very reasonable price…i got my torque d90 for only php3,035.00 though it was priced at 3.1k++…memo express gave me a php150.00 discount…i dunno what for…hehehehe
I’m planning to buy CP for my daughter, budget is around 2 – 3k only. Cherry mobile and this one (Torque) caught my attention. Any advice for someone like me who is not CP freak. TIA
i’ve got one torque c100 and its good. the only problem is the camera, when i tried to click the camera it says “camera module not ready”. they’ve also erased the word VGA camera in the box and they told me there’s no camera. but the unit had camera…
is there any service center that can fix it? thanx.
can you give a list of all stores here in Manila selling Torque cell phones? And if, this unit will be needing repairs, where will we run into? Is there any ligitimate service centers accessible?
Donachi said torque products are found at memo express. where is the memo express exactly located ba?
uhm..its not bad..at first i was pretty disturbed with its camera but im just a little insecure coz my older sister and brother had N series..i got its charger impaired so i bought Motorola instead..it has the same shape..so,if i were you, buy torque coz its very affordable for penniless person like me.
