How many families can the price of this mobile phone feed? Well if you consult the world hamburger index, you can roughly feed about 5,700 starving children. Not really because you can use the 24/7 on call service to find the nearest bar or pizza joint, but because that’s the price you have to pay for this phone – US $5,700.00.
There’s nothing really amazing with the phone’s interior – no camera, no email functions, no nothing. The externals are all that it has to show as well as some valule added services you get with the Vertu such as discounts to many swank locations. Sorta like having credit card perks.
What makes the phone oh so great is that it can withstand being crushed by a Boxster.

“Can we throw it against the pavement?” Denise asked.
I told her no.
Then I picked up the phone and made two urgent calls. The first was to the good folks at headquarters to tell them the phone had survived in one piece and was still working properly. The second was to the concierge to find the nearest bar where I could celebrate my reaffirmed faith in Vertu.
