Walking great lengths to charge up

Textually reports how some villagers in India have to walk over 20 km just to charge a mobile phone. In villages where there is no power, mobile phones become the centerpiece attraction of people’s lives as this is how high tech they can get. Some manufacturers like Nokia have included flashlights in their really cheap entry level phones to address this segment.

In similar news, scientists have developed technology that allows you to have a cellphone battery charge ten times the life of a single charge of the lithium ion batteries.
