Last year in August, I was somewhere on the Alps on vacation. I was watching TV in my hotel room when I decided that it was a good moment to go to the restroom. While I was walking towards the cup (ahem...), somebody called me. I picked my Nokia E90 (900 Euro!) out of my pocket and the phone suddenly took off from my hand heading the cup! But that was not enough, because before diving into the water, it crashed very badly a couple of times into the cup itself. I recoved it immediately, I opened it, I tried to dry it up and then rushed it to the Nokia service. After a couple of days the horrible response came: "sir, what happened to this phone? It's rusty inside and the motherboard is embarqued". Not sure if embarqued makes any sense, in Italian it means having the shape of a boat (!). Anyway, 900 Euro gone... And after all this, I never managed to know who was calling me!!

I was a truck driver in the past and then once when I was connecting the trailer my cellphone dropped from my pocket just under the truck. After connecting, I moved truck few meters and the phone was in the line... So it went in pretty bad shape but it rang when I called it :). That was a Ericsson (not sure what model tho).
