Wikipedia on iTunes Store

Wikipedia is now available on the iTunes store, and of course it is free. I’ve always been a fan of standalone applications for the iPhone in the same way that I’d rather run Facebook and in this new case — Wikipedia, a fully functioning app rather than off the Safari browser.

I would observe that there’s a lot to gain on the usability end and browsing using the haptic touch feedback is more efficient if sites were turned into apps. There’s something going on here — i noticed that browsing on my iPod touch brings me to the same sites over and over, so it really makes sense to just have a couple of dedicated apps that run your daily routine. Yes?
