Windows Mobile 6.5 puts on Armani

Built on Samsung’s OMNIA B7610, Windows Mobile 6.5 is now putting on Armani. There are three differences — the signature golden Armani finish, 8GB of memory built in, and a pivoting screen. The whole thing runs on OpenGL ES 2.0, which is a good catch. Essentially if you have $1,000 to plop into a new phone running on an underdog OS by today’s standards then fine, you might do well with getting this one. Otherwise, you can still settle for HTC or an ACER / Glofiish WinMo phone.

I don’t think that persons who might go for this Samsung Windows Mobile phone would consider the Acer (I presume you are talking about the new Liquid?) as the latter does not have a qwerty keypad and the Samsung Omnia B7610 has! So I would say its for the fashionistas under the business people.
hey jayvee! i’m one of your avid readers. thanks for informing us of the latest when it comes to technology.
anyway, my first samsung phone isn’t actually a winmo device but i enjoy the lively and intuitive UI of samsung phones. however, i’d probably be honest with the strategy of samsung announcing “Jet” being smarter than smartphone. i totally disagree with it. Jet is JUST plain java phone. Nothing to get excited about. of course there’s the AMOLED display and supports divx/xvid out-of-the-box but that’s it.
Samsung doesn’t have much support for after-sales with regards to software update and stuff just because they have better phones like omnia II and HD. i hate to compare it with the “usual” Nokia but they have always been honest with their products.
