If you care, here is the Associated Press 2008 NFL All-Pro team as voted by a bunch of sports writers. The list was released today. You have to wonder about some of these picks. I mean, I’m no genius but someone voted for James Harrison at inside linebacker. Maybe they felt James would be a good ILB even though he’s an outside linebacker. And Tony Gonzalez was voted as the top tight end. He used to be. The same thing happens on the AFC and NFC Pro Bowl rosters. Guys with reputations and history keep going to the Pro Bowl year after year, even if there’s a better (obvious) choice in a particular season. Anyway, Baltimore Ravens safety Ed Reed appeared on every ballot on the AP All-Pro team, so there’s some hope these guys (girls) have a clue.
