Best Against Worst? Patriots Rout Dolphins as Tom Brady Sets Personal Best for TDs

What’s a Sunday without more gushing over how good the New England Patriots are? The Pats (arguably the NFL’s best team) routed Miami (arguably the NFL’s worst team) 49-28 today as Tom Brady threw a career best six TDs (he had five against the Cowboys last week). He had a perfect QB rating on 21 of 25 passing for 354 yards. It was surgery. And Randy Moss. Forget about it. He looks like he did when he was a rookie with the Vikings, leaping over double coverages and catching anything near him. Randy had four receptions for 122 yards and two touchdowns. Both TDs were just sick catches in traffic. I know the season is still young, but this Patriots offense has to be talked about among the best ever. The only thing Tom’s talking about, though, is New England’s next game:
“We’ve got a long way to go. Our goals are bigger than winning seven games this year.”
I said the Patriots would be unstoppable this year (big surprise, so did a lot of other people). I also said they wouldn’t be as good in Week 1 as they would be in Week 7. Is it possible they aren’t as good now as they will be in at the end of the regular season and beyond? Their best test will come against the Colts November 4. If Indy gets by Jax tomorrow night on MNF, this could be an early Super Bowl. I know you’ve already marked your calendar.

Anybody who thought that the Pats are not on a mission to send a clear message to the rest of the NFL should have watched this game.
How many coaches would have put Brady back into the game after the backup QB throws an interception?
Hooded Bill and the Pats are out to destroy every single team they face and put to rest the talk about tainted championships and cheating.
