Favre had an opportunity 4 weeks into March to un-retire and get on board as the staring QB no denying it. He and Deanna choose to stay retired. The Packers drafted based on that scenario. Who else may we have drafted other than a QB from Louisville if he was on board at that time. Committing was critical at that time. Now if he wants to come back get committment for 2 years first then bring him back to GB, put him and Rodgers against eachother for the starting job and if he wins out you decide what to do w/ Rodgers, you always have Broughm in the background who is potentially near ready to play in the NFL as well. We never saw much of Rodgers no more than Brunell, Warner, Brooks or Hasselbeck all who were backups in GB. We owe Favre that much regardless of the relations between him and Thompson.
