More Brett Favre news here at EMQB. A week ago he became the NFL’s winningest quarterback. A couple days later my interview with Brett. This weekend, he ties Dan Marino for the all-time touchdown record with three TD passes in a 31-24 win. The guy is just amazing and playing some of his best football. Look at his final numbers against the Bolts: 28 of 35 for 369 yards and those three TDs. The record-tying toss, the 420th of his legendary career, was a 57-yard game-winner to Greg Jennings. I know after talking with Brett that he’s rejuvenated and excited about this year’s Packers team and I can see why after the 3-0 start.

I have been a Packer Fan since I was 9… and I will date myself a little… that was 1961… CBS had acquired the contract to broadcast the NFL games… so this is the first time I knew there was Pro Football.. and only a couple hours north of Milwaukee, Wisconsin…
I feel fortunate to have grown up with the likes of Lombardi and the teams he assembled during his stint as coach of the Packers.. The awesome string of championship games his teams played in… Won 5 championship games, won 3 of them in a row, ‘65, ‘66, & ‘67… played in 6… play for 3rd place twice(?), and the 1st two Super Bowls..
How do you top that?
And now to watch the one named Farve…
How does any quarterback take the field hoping he will be able to break or tie one of Farve’s records?
How does he take the field hoping to be as good as, Farve? Do some of the things Farve has done?
1. Most consecutive starts for a QB
2. Most TDs
3. Most wins
4. Most interceptions
What else??
And he doesn’t play to set records, but for the love of the game…
How do you top that??
Probably doesn’t really matter… I enjoy watching him play… Hope it continues for a while longer…
Thanks..
Moody…
