Amid various reports that he has a torn labrum in his left shoulder that might require surgery, Cincinnati Bengals receiver Chad Johnson did 20 push-ups for the media assembled at his locker today and said there’s no problem:

“I’m lifting my normal weight. I do everything normal now. Everything. It’s been what? Eight days? I’m back to normal.”

If Chad decides to have the surgery, it would end his season. He doesn’t feel it’s necessary. Even though his arm’s in a sling right now and he won’t play in the team’s final preseason game against New Orleans, he expects to be on the field September 7 when the Bengals open the season at Baltimore. Do you think the Ravens will target that bum shoulder? Yes yes.
