No NFL player has had more fun with social networking than Cincinnati Bengals receiver Chad Ochocinco. But with the NFL watching his every move and limiting what he can get away with on the internet, Chad said today (much to the chagrin of his 151,000+ followers) that he’s finished “tweeting” on Twitter and plans to close his account.

Yesterday, Chad spent a mere two tweets announcing:
“Due to the many rules the NFL has made I’ve found it difficult to enjoy Twitter and I’ll be deleting my account
I thank and love you all for following, hope you enjoyed getting to know the real me: Esteban out.”
As of this post, the account is still open but there are no signs of Twitter “unretirement” from Chad. I’m sure he’s been inundated with responses. I find it hard to believe he’s going to simply quit this popular association with his fans. He’s not the type to give up this easily. I believe Chad’s working on a new way to annoy the league with Twitter—a unique way around the rules that no one else has even thought of yet.
