Despite Winning Big, Philadelphia Eagles Should Throw Back the Throwbacks

The ugliest throwback uniforms of all-time were on display today in Philadelphia. What an awful design. And that color scheme — powder blue and sunflower yellow. Uggh. But despite the hideous garb, the Eagles opened up a can on the previously undefeated Detroit Lions 56-21.
Just six days ago, the Eagles were booed off the field after losing 20-12 to Washington on MNF and I made the comment (not on this blog) that the Eagles were in deep trouble with no number one wide receiver, just a bunch of number three’s. Apparently Kevin Curtis took exception to that and caught three of Donovan McNabb’s four TD passes. He had a stellar day with over 200 yards receiving on 11 catches. And Donovan silenced his critics (for now) with an equally impressive performance.
The only problem for Philly after a performance like this — you know someone will be pushing to see these unis again soon. Blech.
