Indianapolis Colts safety Bob Sanders is the NFL’s 2007 Defensive Player-of-the-Year. I had a lot to say about Bob in a recent post about his new contract, so I’ll leave it at that. I didn’t vote in the AP award that Bob won, but as a member of the PFWA, I did get a vote in the Pro Football Weekly annual awards and Bob was my choice for Defensive MVP as well. It was a no-brainer. No other defensive player has as much impact on his team as Bob Sanders does for the Indianapolis Colts.

The Smallest yet the Tallest. The best safety in the league goes quietly about his business.
